• Launched the Unorthodox website.


• My filmmaker-in-residence position at WGBH is officially over.... and I'm moving to Tel Aviv in two weeks!

• I spoke briefly at the New England Explorers Club about my upcoming expedition to Greenland.


• Got a note in the Boston Herald's New England Film Junkie blog.


• My ass appears on page 1 of Budget Travel's new book: A Stingray Bit My Nipple: True Stories from Real Travelers.


• Completed a 19-minute work in progress reel for Unorthodox and screened at the WGBH Lab Luncheon.

March 2008

• The Tajine Tafraoute Project has been launched!


• We received a generous grant from MIT's Council for the Arts for Unorthodox (the film formerly known as Awaken).


• I spent a productive and relaxing week at the Wellspring House, a lovely artist/writer's retreat in the Berkshires.


• I just launched a blog on the WGBH Lab website.

February 2008

• Awarded a grant for Awaken from the Cambridge Arts Council. Article in the Cambridge Chronicle here.

• Got a brief write-up (and photograph, in the print version) in the Boston Globe for the WGBH Filmmaker-in-residence position.

November 2007

Traveled to Costa Rica and Nicaragua to write/photograph/film a sport called volcano boarding, run by Darryn at Bigfoot Adventure. View preliminary pictures here. Article and video coming soon.

• The Village Voice posted a picture of me in costume at the 2007 NYC Decompression party.

October 2007

• I was selected as a 2007-2008 Filmmaker-in-residence at WGBH, to continue working on Awaken. Nadja is editing on nights/weekends. The residency is through June, and gives me space and support as we work towards finishing the film. More info here.
